Installation and Basic Details
The crystal quest under sink water filters have a white housing and come complete with an attractive faucet and all installation hardware. The unit can be installed neatly under the sink, they come in single, double or triple versions which increase the number of water filtration stages from six up to eight, for even better water purification.
The under sink water filters come with an “easy installation kit” and quick connect fittings, once installed they connect to the separate,chromed, long reach faucet.
There is even an optional refrigerator/ice maker hookup.

Capacities Available
There are generally three different capacities of Crystal Quest® under sink water filters available, with supply ranging from 10,000-30,000 gallons of water, usually enough for between 1-5 years.Flow rates are specified as between 0.75-1 gallon per minute. Supply and length of use will obviously depend on the model chosen and individual consumption levels.
Details of Filtration
Even the basic models use the latest filtration technology and can remove hundreds of contaminants that may be present in the water by using their six step filtration process.
The filters blend the use of coconut shell activated carbon, Redox and more to achieve their high standard of filtration performance. Their unique design ensures a substantial amount of filter media can be used, this increases the contact time with the water and leads to better filtration.

The Six Step Filtration Process
Stage 1. Micron filter pads – removal of silt, sediment and cysts.
Stage 2 & 3. Two alloy blend and REDOX principle – removal of chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulphide and heavy metals such as lead and mercury.
Stage 4. Iron exchange resins – help reduce heavy metals and water hardness.
Stage 5. Granular activated carbon – helps remove chlorine, certain chemicals linked to cancer (THM’s, benzine), pesticides, herbicides.
Stage 6. Final Micron filter pad – final removal of undesirable particles.
Crystal Quest® under sink water filter systems can be back-washed when required to help maintain the filtration performance to a high level.
